Senior Structural Engineer

Description

• Producing and reviewing designs, including site plans, drainage plans, and other associated documentation.
• Overseeing the delivery of timely, high-quality solutions in the residential housing market, including projects such as single-storey, double-storey, transportable, and pole-frame designs.
• Reviewing and providing guidance on peers’ engineering reports and documentation to ensure quality control and support skill development.
• Attending site meetings with stakeholders, including builders, homeowners, and contractors, as required.
• Maintaining proactive and effective communication with all stakeholders, including engineers, Intrax staff, builders, footing contractors, and local councils.
• Managing client interactions, including setting meeting agendas, capturing minutes, and monitoring orders and feedback on a regular basis.

Requirements

• Proficient in the use of engineering design software tools such as ClearCalcs, Space Gass, Toolkit, Inducta (advantageous), RAPT (advantageous)
• Experience in the design of residential/low rise structural buildings.
• Experience in design using timber structures, reinforced concrete, steel structures, and designs of waffle, raft, suspended slab, retaining walls etc
• Advanced ability to interpret the requirements of Australian standards and building codes, design in accordance with AS2870, AS1684, AS1170, AS3600, AS4100, NCC etc.
• At least 3 years of experience in volume housing.
• An ability to build rapport with clients and project stakeholders
