The Role

Overview

General upkeep in mission‑critical facility: carpentry, flooring, ceilings, rack installs, repairs.

Tasks

-Installation and modification of raised flooring tile systems. -Perform access control activities with cleared or uncleared workers according to site security policies and procedures. -Installation and modification of acoustical ceiling tiles and grid. -Installation and modification of modular furniture and associated cable management systems. -Participate in pre-job briefings on risk assessments, hazard mitigation, and planned work activities. -Patch, plaster, paint, and decorate walls. -Movement of materials using equipment such as hand-trucks, carts, and manual pallet jacks. -Perform cleaning of work areas as required. -Installation and modification of modular carpet systems. -Installation, relocation, and removal of equipment racks. -Apply safe work practices to all job functions.

What You Bring

-Must be able to work in limited access locations such as raised flooring systems and under desks. -Must be able to work at heights via ladders, scaffolding, powered lift equipment. -Motivated to work to high quality standards with a strong attention to detail. -Must be able to learn and apply new skills, attending technical training as required. -Must be proficient in the use of hand tools and basic power tools. -Must be able to lift, carry, and position items such as furniture and building materials. -Perform basic carpentry tasking. -Must be able to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors -City & Guilds/NVQ in Carpentry & Joinery, Plastering, or Painting & Decorating.
