Tasks
-Work closely with operations to hand off awarded projects for execution -Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for civil scopes including concrete paving, grading, utilities, and structures -Solicit subcontractor and vendor quotes; evaluate pricing and scope -Track historical cost data and participate in value engineering and constructability reviews -Prepare competitive, accurate estimates and bids for DOT and municipal infrastructure projects -Analyze drawings, specifications, and contract documents to determine project scope -Attend pre-bid meetings, site walks, and maintain strong industry relationships

What You Bring
Applicants without direct heavy civil/heavy highway estimating experience will not be considered. Concrete paving, earthwork, drainage, and bridge experience is a MUST. Senior Heavy Civil Estimator – HHWAY/Grading We are actively seeking a seasoned Estimator with direct experience in heavy civil and heavy highway construction to join our growing team. This is not a role for commercial, vertical, or general building estimators — you must have a proven background estimating large-scale civil infrastructure projects such as roadways and grading. -BS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (but not required if experience is strong) -Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven -Proficient with HCSS, Agtek, or similar civil estimating software -Advanced skills in quantity takeoff, scope analysis, and bid preparation -Strong knowledge of DOT specs, public works bid processes, and unit pricing -Must have recent, hands-on estimating experience with concrete paving, grading/earthwork, drainage systems, and bridges -5+ years of experience as an estimator in heavy civil/heavy highway construction
