Maintain and repair heavy‑duty transit coaches in Mesa, AZ.

Tasks
-Researches and evaluates coach problems, provides comprehensive analysis to management in both written and oral format -Fills out work orders specifying parts and labor. -Test coaches for proper working order including road driving tests. -Performs preventative maintenance inspections on all types of coaches following specific check lists. -Inspects and verifies problems on coaches using various diagnostic equipment. -Assists Foreman to tracks trends, parts usage and costs utilizing work orders, preventative maintenance sheets, road calls and experience -Performs upgrades and/or modifications on coach systems and equipment per manufactures recommendations or client requests -Utilizes computer diagnostic equipment to include but not limited to; Cummins Insite, Allison prognostics, complex electrical schematics; ladder logic diagrams, VANSCO and DINEX coach control systems to diagnose troubleshoot intermediate level difficulty coach electrical functions -Fills out work orders specifying parts and labor -Test coaches for proper working order including road-driving tests -Performs both in-house and road call coach repairs using various hand, power, pneumatic and precision tools -Utilizes computer diagnostic equipment to include but not limited to; Cummins Insite, Allison prognostics, complex electrical schematics; ladder logic diagrams, VANSCO and DINEX coach control systems to diagnose troubleshoot coach electrical functions -Cleans, repairs, and replaces coach equipment as required -Detect, diagnose and repairs coaches concentrating on major complicated / complex problems including but are not limited to; ADA equipment, air conditioning, brakes, chassis, cooling system, engine, interior/exterior lighting, gauges and controls, safety equipment, fire suppression system, sensitive edges, tires, and transmissions

What You Bring
-High School diploma or GED Driver’s license required -Component/System understanding: Air Conditioning, Brakes, Engine, Transmission, Suspension and Steering, Electrical, Fuel, Lubrication, and Differentials -Must have a basic understanding of the design, adjustment, overhaul of medium to heavy duty braking systems. -Must be flexible and work in a 24/7 environment. -Strong time management and organizational skills -Sound judgement: Good problem-solving and analytical skills (troubleshoot technical issues, communicate, and document solutions to non-technical parties) -Knowledge and use of proper safety equipment at all time -Must be able to perform physical activities including working on top of coaches and lifting up to seventy-five (75) pounds. -Experience with diagnostic computer equipment required -Additional training from mechanical/technical schools, courses, or seminars desirable -Must be able to obtain a AZ Commercial Driver’s License -Detail-oriented, resourceful, diligent, and able to operate independently with limited supervision (completing assigned work accurately and in a timely manner) -Drug and alcohol screening: Employment contingent upon passing pre-employment drug and alcohol screen. Also, contingent upon receiving a favorable background check. Must pass a physical examination. -Must be able to work amid constant interruptions, have ability to prioritize and be detail oriented. -Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test. -Understanding the A-B-Cs of Preventive Maintenance Procedures -One (1) year progressive heavy equipment maintenance required. -Understanding of all systems onboard the fleet transportation vehicles -Must have good communication skills, ability to both verbally and in written format document questions and diagnostic information to management personnel
