The Role

Overview

Manage procurement contracts, negotiate terms, and oversee supplier relationships for projects.

Tasks

-Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Manage supplier contracts and supplier relationships, to ensure our suppliers meet our standards, specifications and client requirements. -Ensure material buyers are purchasing the highest quality materials at the lowest possible cost in correct amounts per specifications and drawings. Manage the life cycle of the items you are procuring for your project. -Prepare/issue Request for Proposals (RFP’s) and evaluate vendor/subcontractor proposals to identify vendors/subcontractors who meet project constraints of budget and schedule at the estimating, execution and site purchasing levels. -Assist in negotiating high-risk contracts for various projects. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Utilize logistics team in monitoring shipments to ensure goods come in on time and resolve problems related to undelivered goods. -Confer with staff, users and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action. -Work to resolve escalated, complex, or disputed contract issues for your project & support procurement staff meetings and provide legal communication to the team as needed. -Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities and the supplier’s reputation and history. -Develop, review and negotiate terms and conditions of supplier contracts. -Assist in the development of company-wide procurement templates.

What You Bring

-Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment -Supply chain experience must include working with the RFP process, contract development/negotiation, & procurement execution. -Strong work ethic, Strong individual contributor and team player with ability to build relationships. -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Highly motivated skilled communicator (both written and verbal), with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative to get the job done right the first time. -Proficient in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel) general software knowledge of databases to create contracts. -Regular, reliable attendance -Experience working with engineers, estimators, buyers, logistics and expediting in the procurement process. -Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management or related field with at least 2+ years’ experience in contracts & supply chain functions. We encourage military and veterans to apply. If no degree, a minimum of 4 years in supply chain functions and contracts functions as outlined above are required. -Prefer candidates that have experience in Construction, preferably within the infrastructure market. -Minimum of at 2 years of negotiation experience with suppliers with experience reviewing and managing contracts and researching new vendors to utilize on projects. -SAP experience a plus.
