Lead strategic and operational management of highway drainage and geospatial survey data.

Tasks

-Develop and implement operational plans, methodologies, and quality control procedures for data collection. -Oversee the quality assurance of all incoming survey data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness. -Act as the primary technical point of contact for drainage and geospatial data, engaging with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies. -Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all highway drainage and geospatial survey operations. -Manage, mentor, and develop a team of surveyors and data analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. -Deliver high-level reports and strategic insights derived from the data to internal and external stakeholders, informing future design and maintenance strategies. -Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of data into broader project workflows. -Ensure all data collection, processing, and reporting are fully compliant with national standards, specifically CS551 (Drainage and Geotechnical Data Management) and CD535 (Pumping Stations and Ancillary Structures). -Lead the development, management, and continuous improvement of systems for DDMS (Drainage Data Management System) and GDMS (Geospatial Data Management System).

What You Bring

-Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (CEng/IEng) with a relevant professional body. -Advanced knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools. -Proven experience in developing and managing data systems (DDMS/GDMS) for civil or highways projects. -Experience with automated data processing or asset management software. -Strong proficiency in geospatial software (e.g., GIS, ArcGIS) and data management tools. -Full UK driving licence. -Extensive experience in managing highways survey operations, with a demonstrable track record of leadership. -Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. -Expert knowledge of UK design standards and specifications, with particular expertise in CS551 and CD535. -A degree (BEng/MEng) in Civil Engineering, Geospatial Engineering, or a related discipline.
