Tasks

-Respond to RFIs. -Performance Management: Respond to personal objectives and use performance management systems to improve personal performance; or monitor the performance of the team, allocate work and review completion, take appropriate corrective action to ensure timeliness and quality, and contribute to formal individual performance management and appraisal. -Organizational Capability Building: Provide coaching to team members to develop their skills. -Health, Safety, and Environment: Follow the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well-being of self and others in the workplace; instruct the team in safe working methods; identify instances of risky behaviors within the team and take appropriate action, escalating serious issues as appropriate. -Client & Customer Management (External): Help senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships by using relevant sales or client systems. -Processing construction documentation such as, responding to RFI’s and commenting on engineering submittals. -Coordinate with relevant team members to ensure all documents are properly controlled. -Review materials and propose alternatives/recommendations. -Work Scheduling and Allocation: Assign short-term work schedules to a team of subordinates in order to achieve expectations while following established timelines. -Contribute to designs produced by GHD to ensure the contractor has a well-coordinated set of drawings. -Manage BIM technicians and mentoring graduate engineers. -Leadership and Direction: Communicate the local action plan; explain how this relates to the function's strategy and action plan and to the broader organization's mission and vision; motivate people to achieve local business goals. -Ensure Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures are followed during project execution. -Review submittals, revert with comments, ensure comments are addressed. -Review drawings, reports, specifications. -Operational Compliance: Identify, within the team, instances of noncompliance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these instances and escalating issues as appropriate. -External Communications: Help others get the most out of external communications systems by offering support and advice. -Quality Assurance: Plan and coordinate testing and inspection of products and processes. Implement corrective actions or continuous improvement initiatives and monitor them to make sure they are effective. -Attend meetings. -Assist Project Managers in monitoring and driving progress. -Construction Management: Supervise others on a construction project, working within established operational systems. -Proactively collaborate with other members of the team to deliver innovative and balanced best value solutions that meet the Client’s requirements. -Review engineering designs and provide input on their suitability. Advise on changes if required during the engineering phase. -Can undertake structural inspections and report on material and construction defects and provide guidance for remedial repairs.

-General Experience: Experience enables job holder to deal with the majority of situations and to advise others (Over 3 years to 6 years) -Apply knowledge of Engineering Principles and able to design using all common building materials. -Managerial Experience: Experience of general supervision of more junior colleagues (7 to 12 months) -Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level -Report writing and documentation skills.
