The Role
Overview
Lead engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, budget.

Tasks
-Establish project teams, coordinate activities of multiple disciplines, and ensure the efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff. -Directs and coordinates activities of several disciplines on a project of moderate scope or a combination of smaller projects. -Manage the review, negotiation, approval, and execution of prime contracts, subcontracts, and change orders. -Lead internal and external project risk reviews and consult with Risk Department as required. -Manage all aspects of project communication. -Responsible for compliance with company and site safety policies. -Adhere to Burns & McDonnell’s safety programs, trainings, and policies, as well as promote and manage the safety and health performance of project team members and subcontractors. -Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff. -Manage and approve internal and external reports, providing detailed, accurate project cost forecasts and accruals to client(s) and Global Practice leadership as required. -Complies with all policies and standards -Develop and monitor project schedules, manage scope, and control project costs. -Participate in and attend industry-associated conferences and/or committees. -May initiate or assist in contract negotiations or preparation. -Monitor progress on projects and provide input into areas of concern and direction or redirection to enhance achievement of project schedules, productivity of goals, budgets, quality, and overall profitability of the project. -Responsible for generating new business revenue by developing new client relationships or leveraging existing client relationships. -Responsible for managing contract closeout activities. -Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding efforts such as client coordination, strategic planning, master scope management, budget finances, subcontracting, project staffing, environmental compliance, facility support and schedule attainment. -Direct coordination with clients and other external clients. -Provide leadership and guidance of all aspects of multi-discipline engineering projects from concept to completion, including overall safety, quality, engineering, procurement, construction, environmental compliance, project controls, and public/community relations. -Assist in direction of project planning, budgeting and establishing critical project objectives. -Lead the Project Management team in administering request for proposal (RFP) package development, bid and selection process, and scope of work documents. -Responsible for QA/QC process adherence. -Manage project controls efforts, including project cost reporting, scheduling, project work breakdown structure establishment, project set-up and closeout within the accounting system, and field progress tracking.

What You Bring
-Must have ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of industry, government and public contracts on project-related matters. -Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited curriculum. -Minimum 7 years related experience, including 3 or more years managing engineering or architectural projects. -Professional Registration preferred -Excellent written & verbal communication skills. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
