The Role

Overview

Lead design, permitting, and construction of water/wastewater projects in Spokane.

Tasks

-Meets with client board members and provides monthly progress reporting. -Prepares plans, specifications, costs, and estimates for municipal and industrial water and wastewater facilities. -Lead and manage construction administration tasks, including submittal and Request For Information (RFI) review, progress payment review, compliance with funding agency provisions, and oversight of onsite construction project representative staff. -Leads and completes engineering design projects from start to finish. -Monitors construction progress and provides construction support and on-site observation. -Pursues business development opportunities to grow and expand market services. -Leverage engineering design software to edit project designs, draft plans, drawings, and models according to project specifications. -Assist the Senior Manager in engaging with community members, government officials, and other stakeholders to communicate project goals, address concerns, and gather input on water and wastewater initiatives. -Analyze water/wastewater facilities for system deficiencies regarding compliance with local, state, and federal standards and regulations. Provide improvement alternatives to meet compliance with such regulations. -Establish and grow a water/waster group.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of engineering planning studies -Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in conjunction with engineering licensure preferred -At least 2+ years of project management experience leading teams, design, construction, client services, and budgets. -Strong communication, both verbal and written -Experienced with hydraulic modeling software or similar -Minimum of 4+ years of civil engineering design and construction experience. Water/wastewater engineering experience preferred. -Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction engineering or equivalent ABET-accredited engineering program -Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred or able to obtain after-hire -Engineering design software experience in Civil 3D or similar
