Tasks

Reporting to the Head of Technical Asset Management within UPP’s Asset Management Division, this role will lead asset management at seven University campuses across the Midlands and North of England, specifically planning and delivering life cycle and asset replacement programmes, delivering refurbishment, modernisation and sustainability projects as well supporting defect management. You will lead on intelligent asset management planning, including condition analysis and data gathering on the estate, analysing trends, and working on options appraisal to inform long and short term investment strategies.

What You Bring

We are seeking an individual with experience of building surveying activities including whole life costing, condition analysis and asset replacement planning and delivery, together with the technical and commercial understanding of the project management of strategic maintenance and refurbishment projects and programmes. Experience of working on a portfolio with comparable characteristics to the one found at UPP would be particularly advantageous. The role requires excellent communication skills, a ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to lead a team, manage multi-disciplinary consultants and work with stakeholders across the business.
