Dump Truck Driver

Overview

Drive a Class A dump truck transporting materials, returning home each night.

Tasks

-Work in a variety of weather conditions. -Inspects truck equipment with pre-trip and post-trip walkaround inspection. -Climbs on and off truck body during loading, unloading, and tie-down procedures. -Pre and Post trip inspections. -Maintains and follow truck maintenance schedule. -Dumping the load. -May assist with snow removal duties, (i.e. plow and salt/sand roads).

What You Bring

-Must have a good driving record (2 points or less). -Communication – Drivers work in a collaborative environment at times, which require strong verbal communication skills. -Time-management – Drivers use time-management skills to perform many tasks within a tight deadline to get material delivered on time in a safe manner. -Must meet all Federal DOT Requirements. -Understanding the vehicle. -Must be able to work nights and weekends when necessary. -Must be able to work overtime when required. -Good hand-eye coordination, hearing ability and physical health. -Must have CDL A (at least 2 yrs required w/ verifiable DOT experience).
