Tasks

-Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions. -Prioritize safety in all forms. -You will keep JCI, contractors, and the customer advised of job progress and issues as needed. -Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure the facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities. -Through coaching and mentorship, apprentices will develop skills to troubleshoot and resolve both technical issues as well as customer needs.

What You Bring

-You will meet attendance requirements for required Union training for first year. -Self-starter with ability to eventually work independently. -Apprentices will be trained and will perform on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites. -1+ years of industry experience or experience in servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC industry. -Leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical mechanical HVAC equipment on a job site -Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO. -Generally required knowledge includes mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques -1-2 years of trade school or college in a technical emphasis. -Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner. -This position requires a valid driver’s license.
