The Role
Overview
Perform crimping, lifting, and assembly tasks in manufacturing of instrument transformers.

Tasks
-Operate cranes to rig, lift, transport, and load coils on and to W/R tables. Support critical lifts within the department (gantry moves). -Build /repair end-rings, filling gaps and end-rings (Permabond, other chemicals etc.) -Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Lift up to 50 lbs. -Perform duties related to building resistors, casing and internal component assembly and potting. -Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. -Ensure proper tools management (storage, maintenance, etc.). Maintain an accurate inventory of tools. -Check and read drawings, blueprints and other manufacturing documents. -Clean and prepare surfaces (coils, conductor, taps, etc.) to be welded. -Replenish material as needed for continuous production. Report material shortage to Supervisor immediately. -Report any quality issues or defects to the supervisor immediately. -Use measuring equipment, hand tools, air tools and power tools. -Ensure proper disposal of waste materials by transporting them to designated waste disposal sites. -Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S principles. Participate in regular housekeeping activities to ensure a tidy and efficient workspace. -Check and remove foreign objects (bolts, residue wire) from coil ducts. -Operate various Powered Industrial Trucks, and cranes. Operate various scissor lifts and work at heights. -Perform crimping lead terminations, heat shrink installations, taps preparation/installations and testing. -Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately. -Perform routine and preventive upkeeps (including cleaning) and inspections of dept. equipment to ensure proper functionality. -Report any equipment malfunctions or needed repairs to the Team Lead or supervisor immediately. -Monitor assigned production orders and make machine/workflow adjustments to maintain efficiency. -Ensure consistent and reliable production processes by following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control guidelines and drawings.

What You Bring
-Flexibility to work 3 shift rotation is a requirement of the position. -Ability to learn pre and post crimping operations. -Record (foresight, SAP, traveler...etc) production activities (std. and actual hrs., production#, unit# etc.) accurately as per company’s requirements -Excellent proficiency in English including demonstrated ability to follow verbal/written instructions and complete technical paperwork when needed -High School Diploma or Equivalent -Excellent attendance -An outstanding safety and quality conscious approach while performing work duties.
