Principal Engineer Structural - Buildings

Overview

Lead structural supervision for UAE building projects, reviewing submittals & coordinating teams.

Key Responsibilities

• design review

Tasks

-Works independently and as part of a team to complete specific supervision activities assigned. -Reviews and deals with design calculations, analysis models and BIM models. -Supports and guides inspection teams on-site from technical points. -Follow-up with site observations and non-compliances. -Replies to RFIs and coordinates with other disciplines and design teams. -Collaborates/communicates with other disciplines regarding coordination issues and day-to-day supervision activities. -Performs technical research and technical reports. -Adopts creative and innovative solutions to site problems/clashes and develops appropriate supportive technical documentation/research reports. -Attending technical meetings with the project team. -Provide support to the inspection team to resolve any site activity issues. -Responsible for providing approvals for the contractor’s structural technical submittals. -Join the site visit with the project team (During Site Visits). -Reviews and approves all contractor structural/civil technical submittals & sub-contractors' shop drawings and calculations (such as reinforcement, scaffolding, precast, waterproofing, etc. -Coordinates with the design team regarding specialists’ packages approvals by authorities.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of local authorities’ requirements. -Basic knowledge of BIM and the REVIT platform. -Excellent presentation and communication abilities. -Experience in structural supervision projects. -Experience and knowledge in using international Codes and standards. -Experience in using structural software such as AutoCAD, SAP ETABS, and SAFE. -Building structural supervision experience.
