The Role
Overview
Coordinate maintenance, repairs and contractor supervision for Port Authority assets.

Tasks
-Supervise tradespeople and maintenance contractors, ensuring work is allocated effectively, performance is monitored, and maintenance meets high-quality standards. -Provide hands-on technical support, conduct inspections, perform diagnostics, and resolve issues promptly to ensure asset reliability and compliance. -Assess, diagnose, repair, and maintain Port Authority assets across multiple sites, including event venues, public spaces, critical infrastructure, gangways, wharves, and essential systems. -Supporting professional development opportunities including study assistance, paid individual professional membership, and access to our leadership program. -Enforce WHS regulations, industry standards, and maritime safety requirements, including risk assessments, permits, and contractor safety documentation. -Utilise the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track maintenance activities, maintain records, and support budget development for asset operations.

What You Bring
-Available to work outside regular hours of 7 am – 7pm (evenings, weekends and public holidays) when necessary -Familiarity with maritime safety regulations, public assembly building compliance, and emergency procedures. -Experience responding to and participating in emergency situations, taking the lead as technical coordinator for mechanical or electrical issues -Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder relationship management skills. -Trade qualification in either electrical, mechanical or construction (electrical preferred) -Applicants will be required to complete background checks, including police checks, medical checks and reference checks to be successful. -Proficiency in CMMS, Microsoft Office, and interpreting technical reports and engineering/architectural drawings. -This role is open to Australian Citizens or Australian Permanent Residents only. -Sound knowledge of building systems, maritime infrastructure, venue maintenance, and WHS regulations. -Current NSW Driver’s Licence -Demonstrated experience in asset maintenance or facilities management, with supervision in ports, transport hubs, maritime, industrial, or venue environments
