Tasks

-Prepare detailed mechanical discipline estimates for all project phases (conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction). -Support risk analysis and contingency planning for mechanical estimates. -Ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements. -Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide value engineering recommendations. -Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to validate scope and pricing. -Review subcontractor and vendor quotes for accuracy and completeness. -Maintain and update cost databases (Sage, Trimble, etc.) to ensure accurate benchmarking and historical data. -Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. -Professional certifications (e.g., ASPE, AACE) are a plus. -7+ years of experience in mechanical estimating within industrial or commercial construction. -Advanced Excel skills and ability to develop custom estimating templates. -Proficiency in estimating software and cost databases (Sage, Trimble, or similar). -Strong understanding of mechanical systems, codes, and industry standards. -Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. -Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or advanced manufacturing projects. -Familiarity with BIM tools and integration with estimating platforms.
