The Role

Overview

Execute high-voltage transmission line projects, overseeing scope, schedule, and budget.

Tasks

-Works independently asrequired and may direct, mentor, train, and/or supervise one or more EIT’s, CADD/Designers, and administrative staff. -Leads overall technical direction of projects. -Independently coordinates the work of engineers and the balance of the team throughout an entire project life cycle. -Scope and schedule support to the PM, including work breakdown structure development and implementation, change management, and schedule management. -Participates in quality control or project reviews for peers and other project teams. -Supports scheduling for and/or performs quality reviews for all deliverables. Ensures appropriate reviewer(s) are assigned. -Coordinates with operations leaders and PM for resource planning and management. -Budget support to the PM for proposal development, progress assessment, and change management. -May be engaged in a mentoring/training relationship with one or more junior engineers or designers.

What You Bring

-National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) knowledge. -Must thoroughly understand and implement the HDR Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements, processes, and procedures to deliver a world class quality product to the client. -Ability to lead multiple projects concurrently, utilizing teams in different locations. -Experience using PLSCADD, structure analysis, project cost estimates, plan and profile preparation, load and designs, specifications and drawings, and other engineering documents required for power transmission line projects. -Previous experience with an engineering consulting firm.
