The Role

Overview

Handles accounting for solar project entities, preparing financial statements, reconciliations, and audit support.

Tasks

-Preparation and review of various reports including but not limited to net cash flow and debt service coverage ratios. -Understand and record eliminating journal entries for intercompany activities and prepare consolidated financial statements for investors, lenders and management. -Prepare supporting documents and record complex journal entries in areas such as, but not limited to cash, prepaids, accrued expenses, deferred revenue, leases, debt, interest rate swaps, various operating expenses and revenues, investment and equity. -Run ad hoc analysis and detail as required. -Handle various other duties as assigned by Accounting Manager. -Prepare reconciliations for Balance Sheet related accounts. -Prepare annual audited financial statements and footnotes, and work with independent auditors to provide support for the annual audit process. -Record and reconcile inter-company activity, including inter-company payables, receivables, investments, and lease payments. -Manage and record flow of fund requests for funds.

What You Bring

-Must be able to implement process improvement changes. -Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required. -Excellent Excel and modeling skills. -Must be able to pay close attention to details. -Excellent verbal and written communication, planning, analysis and organizing skills. -Must be able to work in a team environment. -Experience with NetSuite is preferred but not required. -Must be able to work independently and in a hybrid role. -Strong leadership, appraisal, relationship management, and problem-solving skills. -Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred, but not required. -Intermediate to advanced excel skills including but not limited to the ability to use Sumifs, vlookups, pivot tables, and other basic excel functions. -Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting. -Must be able to multi-task and strong organizational skills are a must for this role. -Must be able to adapt and flex to a changing environment. -Minimum of 4 years of experience preparing journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations, financial statement support workpapers, and account analysis. -Must be able to use discretion and independent judgement.
