The Role

Overview

Intern assists in concrete projects, safety, estimating, scheduling, and field tasks.

Tasks

-Learn and follow company policies, procedures, and industry standards to support compliance and quality efforts. -Help monitor project progress by gathering data and assisting in basic production tracking and reporting. -Assist with cost tracking and administrative tasks, such as compiling reports and organizing project files. -Help coordinate communication with general contractors and owners under close supervision. -Contribute to project scheduling activities by helping update timelines and learning about sequencing processes. -Support procurement activities by helping track materials and equipment orders, deliveries, and inventory records. -Assist with quantity takeoffs and help prepare project estimates, budgets, and proposals. -Observe and assist with project safety efforts, including helping with safety documentation and participating in safety meetings. -Assist in preparing field reports, tracking data such as labor hours, productivity, material usage, and safety observations. -Support the review and organization of job cost information and assist in distributing project estimates to relevant team members.

What You Bring

-Comfortable working in both office and job site environments. -Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. -Learn to assist with change order processes, including logging and organizing change requests. -Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). -Strong organizational skills with effective communication abilities. -Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. -Willingness to travel as required.
