The Role

Overview

Safely deliver petroleum products on local routes, handling loading, inspections, and paperwork.

Tasks

-Maintain a clean and organized vehicle – inside & outside -Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is performing to the required standards -Deliver Irving Oil Products to various locations within the required geographical locations -Continuously evaluate and make safety decisions on trucks, conditions, products, sites, deliveries, leaks, and any other situations in which the driver feels there may be a safety issue. Report all hazards or unsafe situations that cannot be corrected on their own to the Manager -Review and plan daily routes while collaborating with our Dispatch team to improve the efficiency of routes -Complete daily shift reports and all required paperwork with accurate information -Safely load and unload products from storage facilities while adhering to all safety policies and procedures

What You Bring

-Strong communication and collaboration skills -A valid CDL Class A Driver’s License with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements -Previous experience with liquid loads is considered an asset -Ability to work 12-hour schedules -Basic mathematical skills -Safety-focused with strong technical skills -High school diploma or G.E.D. required -Minimum 2 years Commercial Transportation experience
