Tasks

-Develop/ manage/ distribute KPI’s to monitor transportation cost and identify areas of opportunity for cost reduction, communicate any risk to budget upstream to finance and other supporting departments via report results. -Preparing yearly budget for department -Analyze market trends, industry best practices and potential disruptions to identify areas of opportunities for advancement -Ensure fleet is DOT compliant, IRP, IFTA UCSR, driver clearing house, etc. -Ensure adherence to all international trade regulations, customs law, tariffs and compliance standards; ensure COO and tariffs are monitored and properly applied -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align transportation strategies with overall business goals -Implement and manage TMS/ERP/EWMS/OSCA or similar software solutions to manage and streamline transportation process and reporting for all logistics functions. -Develop and execute a comprehensive global and domestic transportation strategy to optimize cost, efficiency and delivery time across all modes of transportation (air, sea, land), while reducing risk -Hiring, training and developing a high-performance and best in class logistics team -Negotiate contracts with global and domestic vendors, including pricing, service levels and performance metrics, all while conducting quarterly and yearly performance revies to ensure compliance with agreements and identify areas of opportunity.

What You Bring

-Proficiency using an ERP/TMS/ WMS solution (i.e., SAP) or similar platform. -Ability to effectively develop professional and positive relationships with internal and external customer contacts. -Knowledge of international trade regulation -Strong sense of urgency -APICS certification a plus (CSCP) -Ability to work flexible or non-traditional hours when necessary and as appropriate to meet customer needs. -Ability to be detail oriented. -Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. -Knowledge of the transportation workflows -High degree of proficiency using PC, MS Office, & database analytical tools -49 CFR certification a plus -Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance. -Minimum 5-10 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, often with a significant portion of the time spent in a leadership role managing global operations. -Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in supply chain or related fields. -Organizational skills and the ability to maintain information in a logical and well-thought-out manner.
