The Role
Overview
Ensures safety compliance on construction sites, training staff and managing hazards.

Tasks
-Prepare and conduct various training sessions for all employees to enhance safety knowledge and practices. -Prepare and facilitate weekly and daily safety meetings to promote awareness and adherence to safety practices. -Issue personal protective equipment, train employees on its use, and ensure all equipment is operational. -Create and implement Task Hazard Analysis and Audits within the SiteDocs safety management program. -Review AMS policies to ensure they meet all customer and government safety requirements. -Consistently and fairly enforce all company safety rules and regulations. -Attend jobsite meetings as required to stay informed and engaged with ongoing safety discussions. -Maintain correspondence with general contractors and site owners to ensure alignment on safety expectations. -Conduct investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences. -Conduct regular inspections and audits of job sites to ensure compliance with safety standards. -Stay informed about AMS, OSHA, EPA, and customer safety policies, and communicate any changes to AMS personnel. -Perform regular inspections of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) used on site to ensure they are in good condition. -Oversee third-party safety contractors on AMS job sites to ensure compliance with safety policies. -Prepare Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and Site-Specific Safety Plans tailored to the needs of each project. -Assist field crews in identifying hazards and implementing mitigation strategies. -Stop any operations that pose a risk to employee safety or equipment integrity. -Conduct comprehensive orientations for new employees to ensure they understand safety protocols and procedures. -Prepare necessary safety reports, documenting compliance and areas for improvement. -Analyze data findings to make recommendations that enhance the overall safety of AMS. -Respond to events as necessary to manage safety, customer interface, and preliminary investigations.

What You Bring
-Great attention to detail, accuracy, and organization with the ability to observe and account for what is happening in situations and interactions in the day-to-day. -BCSP certification is considered a plus, but not required -Valid driver's license -Minimum 3 - 5 years of construction safety experience -Strong written and verbal communication skills -Computer proficiency in Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook) -Knowledge in OSHA standards and fall protection, lockout - tagout, confined spaces, and respiratory protection -OSHA 30 certification is required
