Overview

Launch and run a licensed childcare program for BETA employee children in VT.

Tasks

-Recruiting, training, supervising, and retaining quality childcare team members -Develop and maintain parental rapport: keeping parents informed of their child's daily experiences and center activities -Promotes a safe, nurturing, healthy, positive, caring environment where self-concepts are enhanced, independence encouraged, and individuality respected -Will work closely with our facilities and creative teams to ensure we have a safe and inspiring environment for complying with laws and regulations -Plan, develop, schedule and/or provide in-service training for childcare team members -Maintain accurate records on children to include development, attendance, immunization, and general health; maintain accurate waiting lists -Order and maintain childcare supplies and equipment -Foster and cultivate partnerships with other organizations -Create programs and activities that encourage the development and growth of the children

What You Bring

-Knowledge of child development and behavior -Ability to lift up to sixty pounds -Knowledge of Waldorf, Reggio Emelia, Attachment approaches to educating children -Experience with farm animals -Has experience with developing and managing a childcare program -Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field preferred -High School Diploma or equivalent required -Understanding of health and safety regulations for childcare facilities, including VT State licensing requirements
