The Role

Tasks

Vendor Coordination: Schedule and supervise contracted services such as landscaping, snow removal, janitorial, and HVAC; ensure vendor compliance with service agreements and quality standards. Administrative & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized records of leases, vendor contacts, maintenance activities, inspections, and property documentation in PVC Connect and other systems. Emergency & Safety Response: Act promptly and effectively in emergency situations, ensuring building systems and tenants’ safety while minimizing property damage or disruption. Responsible for protecting, maintaining, and enhancing the value of commercial real estate properties to ensure optimal performance and longevity. The Building Engineer plays a key role in maximizing the owner’s financial return by ensuring all building systems operate efficiently, maintenance standards are upheld, and tenant satisfaction remains high. This position also serves as a representative of the property owner, maintaining professional relationships with tenants, vendors, and the public to uphold the property’s reputation and operational excellence. What You Bring

Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of building systems, architectural and mechanical trades, and safe use of tools and equipment for maintenance and repair. Licenses & Certifications: Valid Ohio driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance, and a clean driving record required; CPM (IREM) or RPA (BOMA) certification preferred. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred. Professional Competence: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple properties, coordinate vendors, and ensure compliance with maintenance and safety standards. -Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of building systems, architectural and mechanical trades, and safe use of tools and equipment for maintenance and repair. -Licenses & Certifications: Valid Ohio driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance, and a clean driving record required; CPM (IREM) or RPA (BOMA) certification preferred. -Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred. -Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in commercial property management, construction, facility management, or field operations; 5–7 years of related experience may substitute for degree requirements. -Professional Competence: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple properties, coordinate vendors, and ensure compliance with maintenance and safety standards.
