Tasks

-Creating and implementing innovative technical solutions to complex problems using the latest factory automation, motion control, and process automation technologies and world-class simulation tools, -Applying your expertise and knowledge to strengthen customer relationships, drive the growth of Siemens, and strengthen our reputation as a leader in industrial automation. -Rotating through a range of functional areas and projects related to designing custom software and hardware architectures, testing, project management, working with electromechanical systems and machines, and engaging the digital IIOT technology. -Consulting with Siemens customers and driving their digital transformation through applications engineering with IIOT, additive manufacturing, digital drive train, and robotics innovations, while reducing time-to-market for our customers. -Actively engaging in intensive, instructor-led training and workshops to rapidly develop foundational expertise in industrial discrete automation, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), Computer Numerical Control (CNC), industrial networking, Cybersecurity, and relevant engineering principles, as well as mastering your understanding of our portfolio of related products.

What You Bring

-Organized, self-motivated, effective problem-solving skills, and excellent written and verbal communication. -Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Engineering Technology, or Computer Science. -Leadership experience through academic or extracurricular activities. -Previous internship or project experience in industrial/manufacturing environment. -Must be willing and able to commit to the required relocations: first to Mason, OH for 6 months, followed by 6 to 12 months in Alpharetta, GA; Elk Grove Village, IL, and/or Harleysville, PA for the remainder of the program. Relocation assistance is provided to hires who must relocate more than 50 miles from their permanent address for each required move. -Available to start full-time employment in June 8, 2026. -Strong programming foundations: proficiency may come from any language or environment, including IEC 61131-3 (Ladder Logic), C#, Python, C/C++, Java, iOS/Android/web development, PLCs, or HMIs. -Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship -Experience with any of the following: Ethernet networking, power electronics, mechanical statics/dynamics, motion control, CNC machine tools, Windows app development, and/or robotics. -Must graduate no earlier than Spring 2025 and no later than May 31, 2026 (rising/recent graduates only). -Excellent communication skills and strong customer focus. -Basic understanding of control theory and/or PLCs.
