The Role
Overview
Design and qualify repairs for gas turbine components (LM2500, LM6000, LMS100).

Tasks
-Support repair process qualifications and work with engineering partners to support repair standardization and industrialization. -Develop and industrialize Gas Turbine Component repair process technology to be implemented in repair strategy -Support engineering and business partners to ensure that newly developed repair processes, procedures, limits, etc. are properly incorporated into appropriate shop, vendor, and engineering manuals & documents. -Coordinate design analysis and evaluation of assigned engine components to ensure their operational life and substantiate the define repairability limits. -Develop, drive and industrialize new fleet repair technology for the services network -Recommend approaches to meet technical and program requirements, with guidance. -Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects/tasks in line with engineering policies and procedures. -Interface with Materials and Design engineering and lead design reviews for repair development -Develop repair procedures and inspection methods. -Provide oversight and direction for the creation of component CAD models, drawings, and specifications for gas turbine components. -Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and/or program reviews. -Act as the technical focal point for the disposition of component repair Departure Records (DRs) related to your assigned components.

What You Bring
-Strong foundational knowledge in engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. -Gas turbine design knowledge/background. -Strong interpersonal and collaborative team skills. Ability to connect effectively with a broad group of stakeholders. -Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials Science Engineering, or related engineering field of study from an accredited college or university OR a High school diploma/ GED with 7 years of relevant experience. -Strong technical aptitude related to components and systems of increasing complexity. -Experience with inspection technologies, including FPI, X-Ray, and Eddy Current. -3+ years of relevant experience in mechanical (industrial) component design, component repair process and practices. -Solid oral and written communication skills. -Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future. -Experience with repair special processes, including welding, brazing, thermal spray, heat treat, machining, blending, coating, and surface treatments.
