The Role

Overview

Field tech for environmental sampling, drilling oversight, reporting and QA/QC.

Tasks

-Interaction with laboratories for sample pickup. -Adhere to Atlas and site-specific safety standards. -Field services including groundwater and storm water sampling, and landfill monitoring. -Field and technical oversight, including quality control and quality assurance for project activities, and standard operating procedures and reports. -Preparation and management of field supplies and equipment. -GIS point data collection in field. -Technical report writing and deliverables to Project Managers. -Drilling oversight, soil sampling and boring log preparation.

What You Bring

-Experience with CADD a plus. -Flexibility of schedule typically Monday-Friday as specific projects require. -Must have the ability to work independently and on project teams. -0 to 2 years of environmental experience. -Should be able to manage multiple assignments. -Ability to travel within western/central MA & CT primarily; occasional day projects in RI, ME, NH, & eastern NY as required. -Effective communication skills and ability to interact with public at large. -Ability to work during work required hours that typically range from 7-8 am to 5-6 pm depending on specific project schedule. -Ability to bend and stoop to be at floor level. -Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and excel required. -Professional appearance and demeanor. -Previous professional job experience (not required in environmental field). -Strong verbal and written communication skills. -Possess physical strength, stamina and dexterity to perform varying site activities. -Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation and be able to pass MVR. -Familiarity with iPhone and/or iPad. -AS or BS in Environmental Science or Science Major.
