Entry-level mechanical engineer for movable bridge design, office and field work.
-Use general analysis software, manufacturer-specific software, and in house programs under the direct guidance of the ME Supervisor and Senior Mechanical Engineers -Perform limited mechanical analysis, design, and selection of movable bridge machinery components -Develop preliminary system layout and details using CAD software, provide information to CAD Technicians for the development of contract plans directly related to movable bridge design work -Review and check standard mechanical design calculations
-Design in a 3D environment such as Inventor and 2D CADD experience in AutoCAD preferred. -Ability to show effective technical writing and presentation skills -Ability to perform field tasks at heights -Ability to perform mechanical design and detailing of bridge components -Registered Engineer in Training or within 6 months of obtaining -Be capable of performing a mixture of office and field work. -A minimum of a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
