Manage and procure renewable energy contracts, PPAs, and related compliance for Thames Water.
-Maintain robust contract monitoring, compliance, reporting, and performance tracking. -Identify opportunities to optimise agreements, mitigate risks, and deliver financial and operational benefits. -Manage Thames Water’s current PPAs, acting as the key stakeholder contact and ensuring effective operation. -Provide ad hoc support to the Energy & Carbon Management team on projects that reduce energy use, costs, and carbon emissions. -Lead the management of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) - from tender through to delivery. -Oversee contracts relating to behind-the-meter generation (e.g. solar), biomethane export, and demand flexibility schemes.
Working at Thames Water -Proven track record in managing and delivering complex contracts, with strong knowledge of contract compliance. -Excellent commercial acumen, with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills. -Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels. -Knowledge of energy contract management and procurement of PPAs. -Project Management qualifications. -Power BI capabilities. -Experience in contract negotiation, including identifying financial and legal risks. -Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver effective solutions under pressure. -Previous experience in the energy industry. -Advanced Microsoft Excel/Office skills and the ability to analyse, interpret, and present data clearly.
