Tasks
-Preparation of conceptual design plans -Preparation of technical reports, such drainage studies, stormwater quality management plans (SWQMPs), and feasibility studies -Hydraulic analyses of storm drain conduit and open channel systems -Floodplain hydraulic analyses and studies for natural channels and restoration and flood control projects -Hydrologic analyses for land development, transportation, green infrastructure, and flood control projects -Water quality calculations for the design of best management practices (BMPs)

What You Bring
-BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering or closely related field. Completed course work in the following areas is desired: hydrology and technical writing. Completed course work in the following areas is a plus for consideration: hydraulics, water quality, GIS, AutoCAD (or MicroStation), and surveying. Four years of relevant work experience can be used to supplement the education requirement -Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel -Flow mitigation/detention modeling -Spatial analysis (i.e., GIS), data analysis using statistical programs, and database management -Ability to work as an individual and as part of team with a focus on project success -Hydraulic calculations and/or modeling, such as HEC-RAS -Data analysis using Excel or other software -Computer aided drafting and design (CADD) software (i.e., Autodesk and/or MicroStation) -Strong oral and written communication skills -Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification (preferred) -Hydrologic analysis such as Rational Method calculations
