Tasks

-Configure control systems and verify operational efficiency. -Install commercial refrigeration systems including walk-in coolers, freezers, display cases, and chillers. -Handle refrigerants safely and legally, ensuring proper recovery, recycling, and disposal. -Maintain accurate service records and documentation for regulatory compliance. -Conduct site assessments and ensure proper placement, electrical connections, and insulation. -Provide recommendations for upgrades or preventive maintenance. -Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot system failures. -Perform routine maintenance: clean coils, replace filters, inspect electrical components, and check refrigerant levels. -Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues. -Communicate effectively with clients regarding system performance, repairs, and energy efficiency.

What You Bring

-Adhere to OSHA, NSF/ANSI 7, and EPA Section 608standards. -Minimum 5 years of experiencein commercial refrigeration, specifically with walk-in coolers and freezers. -Comfortable working on ladders, rooftops, and in walk-in units. -Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined, cold environments. -Technical training or HVAC certification- Current Journeyman HVAC license in MD, DC, or VA -Experience with energy-efficient systems and environmentally friendly refrigerants. -Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls. -Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. -Familiarity with OSHA safety protocols and walk-in cooler design standards. -Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. -Knowledge of building codes and refrigeration regulations. -Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. -Must wear appropriate PPE and follow safety protocols. -EPA Section 608 Universal Certification(Type I, II, III).
