Tasks

-Develop detailed cost estimates for semi-custom residential home projects based on architectural plans, specifications, and design options. -Continue to build out the Buildertrend software package to improve internal efficiencies. -Maintain and update cost databases within Buildertrend to reflect current market pricing and vendor rates. -Identify and evaluate cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or design integrity. -Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitive and accurate pricing. -Provide support for budgeting, change order pricing and contract negotiations. -Collaborate with the design and sales team to ensure accurate pricing and timely delivery of proposals.

What You Bring

-Strong communication and negotiation skills -Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills -Proficiency in Buildertrend or similar construction software applications and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required -Possess the ability and the desire to take on the additional responsibility of managing a small estimating team -5 or more years of residential estimating experience in custom or semi-custom homebuilding. -Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents -A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred -Strong knowledge of residential construction materials, methods, and market pricing
