Tasks

-Ensure compliance with all PPG Policies, Blueprint and Business Strategy goals including EH&S, Business Conduct, Code of Ethics, and all governmental regulations and laws. -Become knowledgeable and provide as-needed application support for other PPG Facilities and assist with trouble shooting, repair and preventive maintenance of automated paint systems. -Provide support for Cleveland Technical and Spray Application Department equipment and ensure alignment with operation at other PPG Spray lab Facilities. -Research and compare equipment used at OEM manufacturers against PPG systems and provide technical guidance or improvement to Application Spray labs. -Keep PPG technologies matched with new equipment trends through PPG internal updates of engineering market advancements. Share data with Manufacturing & Technical to provide continuous improvement to laboratory development cycles and quality assurance product testing. -Maintain general mechanical knowledge and principles of the installation, operation and troubleshooting of application systems and spray atomizers.

What You Bring

-Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time. -Up to 25% travel may be required. -High School Diploma or equivalent required -Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software; CAD experience a plus. -Knowledge of general mechanical and electrical repair. -Continuous learning of internal and external spray equipment and create new ideas or revise current practices for a more efficient operation -Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
