Tasks

-Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors -Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market pricing, materials, and construction methods -Review project plans and identify potential risks, discrepancies, or opportunities for cost savings -Participate in preconstruction meetings and assist in developing budgets and value-engineering options -Collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure a smooth project handoff -Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive bid proposals -Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for ground-up commercial projects

Our client, a reputable General Contractor based in Fort Worth, is seeking a talented Estimator to join their growing preconstruction team. -Proven experience estimating ground-up commercial projects in K-12, municipal, industrial, or government sectors -Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred) -Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills -Strong communication and negotiation abilities -Proficiency in estimating software (such as On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, or similar) -Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and materials -Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an Estimator within a commercial general contracting environment
