Tasks

-Supporting the functional Project Controls Leads with progress reporting including schedule updates, forecast to complete, variance identification and opportunities for improvement. -Implementing best practice principles to provide integrated project controls, including schedule management, cost management, risk management, baseline and change management and reporting and insights. -Liaising with the supply chain and the assurance of their project controls information. -Ensuring the SZC design in line with UK legal requirements and standards. -Assisting in leading, coaching and supporting of senior project controls resources. -Discharging the role of principal designer under CDM. -Supporting the functional project controls leads in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Integrated project controls processes. -Day to day management of the sub-programme project controls team of schedule, risk, cost, change and reporting and insights which supports the Technical and Engineering Directorate with oversight, collaboration and assurance of the T&E scope. -Accountable for the on-time production and quality of functional month end performance reports -Owning and managing the end-to-end configuration and design replication strategy. -Help ensure SZC is viewed by the construction industry as an exemplar in project controls through knowledge sharing, networking and delivering presentations to the sector. -Accountable for the implementation of an effective lines of defence assurance process for the project controls functions. -Supporting the Head of Programme Controls for Technical and Engineering in delivering exemplar project controls that is referenced by industry bodies and other major programmes as world class. -Owning and managing the overall design and engineering delivery. -Owning and managing the relationship with nuclear services (NSCo). -Establishing, implementing and maintaining project controls arrangements, systems, tools, and work instructions for use on the SZC project and the flow down of SZC project controls requirements as appropriate. -Delivering and accepting the various nuclear safety cases.

What You Bring

-Degree or equivalent qualification in business analysis, accounting, finance, construction, engineering or project management, or related technical field. -Experience of working within multiple project controls functions of cost control, estimating, scheduling, change management and risk management. -Experience of successfully managing a team in a matrix structure on a project. -Excellent presentation, influencing and facilitation skills. -User of a range of reporting and analytics software and project controls systems particularly Power BI. -Understanding of various contract types, in particular the NEC suite and FIDIC. -Deliverables focused and an accomplished problem solver, rising to meet any challenge. -Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. -Detailed understanding of earned value analysis. -Experience with increasing responsibility showing an ability to manage senior stakeholders. -A track record of working in a senior Project Controls Management position on large and complex infrastructure projects. -Active membership of AACE, PMI, APM or similar association with association certifications. -Experience in the nuclear sector.
