The Role
Overview
Lead and manage MEP construction projects, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality.

Tasks
-Scheduling and leading the project close-out process -Report all incidents, near hits and hazards to management. -Developing scopes of work for each subcontractor -Managing of the project permit process -Participate in required and/or assigned training. -Provide suggestions to improve Safety. -Advise fellow employees of hazardous situations. -Coordinating punch list items and procedures -Attend prestart and Safety meetings and contribute. -Completing and communicating daily reports of activities that were scheduled and competed, along with other communications regarding the project’s progress to all stakeholders -Ensuring superintendents have the necessary trades, materials, and equipment available to efficiently construct the project -Completing walk-throughs of the site to ensure safety, cleanliness, and standards are maintained -Participating in the development of strategic plans including VDC -Performing and overseeing of project specific QA/QC practices to ensure project delivered to project specifications and Yates’ standards of quality -Identifying and resolving field and design issues -Leading meetings to coordinate work and manage labor concerns -Follow Yates Code of Conduct -Arranging and leading preconstruction meetings with all subcontractors prior to beginning each phase of work -Overseeing subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, etc. to support project schedule delivery and scope of work commitments -Performing constructability reviews -Tracking field progress against the “plan,” assisting in the development of the recovery plans if necessary -Leading in administering the safety program for the project -Participating in ensuring quality control is in accordance with the established project quality assurance program -Responsible for refusing unsafe work and for carrying out all work in accordance with the established Yates Safety Procedures and Work Practices -Developing and maintaining the site logistics plan for the project in conjunction with the General Superintendent -Representing the site team in owners’ meetings -Assists with administering the site safety program as required and ensuring Trade Partner compliance with OSHA standards and Yates Site Specific Requirements and all applicable safety codes and regulations. -Participate in workplace inspections.

What You Bring
-Strong working knowledge of programs such as Primavera, Excel, Word, and MS Project -Required to wear and maintain personal PPE. -A proven track record of organizing project teams to accomplish project goals -Extensive knowledge of all facets of construction -Effective negotiation and contract management skills to represent the company with the Client -Minimum of five (5) years construction management experience -Experience in managing trades valued at $50MM -Experience in managing a project using established methods of cost reporting, i.e. cash flow, safety, cost, schedule, VDC -Other relevant education, training or work experience may substitute for bachelor’s degree -Understand contract types and terms, i.e. General Conditions, Burn Rates, Fee Analysis, -Present a mature approach to working safely. -A proven track record of organizing project team to accomplish project goals -An undergraduate University degree or higher (preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, or a closely related field) is preferred -Understand various insurance programs, i.e. SDI, BR policies, OCIP, CCIP -PMP certified preferred -Experience with large / complex safety plan implementation
