Warehouse Assistant

Overview

Assist warehouse operations, serve customers, handle stock, and operate forklift

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement -Maintain stock levels in both the warehouse and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts -Help to process and prepare customer orders - load and unload customer and supplier vehicles using a forklift truck to minimise manual handling (training will be provided!) -Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products -Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck work -Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects -Keep the branch looking clean and tidy and make Health & Safety a priority

What You Bring

-Commercial acumen -Background within Warehouse Management, ideally within construction materials -A genuine enthusiasm for dealing with customers, and a ‘customer 1st’ attitude -Confident working both indoors and outdoors -Previous industry experience preferred
