Oversee construction site safety and health for USACE projects

Tasks

-Monitor compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations in accordance with statutory and contractual requirements -Develop and conduct onsite worker training on safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA), and use of safety equipment at job site locations -Partner with the project managers and site safety representatives to interpret, evaluate, and provide technical guidance on project safety requirements, accident investigation, and implementing corrective action measures -Assist with detailed incident investigations and root cause analysis, compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other employee health and wellness evaluations, to support health, safety and environmental management initiatives -Conduct comprehensive on-site hazard and risk assessments; safety audits; accident investigations; and equipment inspections to mitigate risk -Safety, Safety, Safety comply with all USACE and company policies, procedures, and standards of safety -Compile, analyze, and report statistical data related to occupational illnesses and accidents as required -Administer and manage the substance abuse testing and occupational health programs for the organization

What You Bring

-Must have ability to wear full construction PPE to include fall arrest harnesses or respirators -Prior experience working with USACE preferred -Proficient in MS Office, Bluebeam -Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. -5 years of experience as a construction safety professional in heavy construction -Acceptable MVR in accordance with Fisher's Company Vehicle Program policy -Ability to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions including heat above 100 degrees, cold, and rain -Requires extensive out-of-town travel -Current OSHA 30-hour in construction certification -Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and government background check -Current First aid CPR -Must have current EM 385-1-1 SSHO certificate -Current competent person training in; fall protection, excavation, confined space and lockout/tagout
