Commercial Roofing Assistant Superintendent

Overview

Supervises commercial roofing crews, installs/maintains roof systems, ensures safety.

Tasks

-Assist with the planning and execution of the following: -Responsibility for quality control and performing regular quality control inspections -Participating in continuous improvement initiatives -Loading and unloading roofing material and equipment -Complete the initial safety and technical training onboarding -Maintenance of roofing equipment and tools -Rotating (1) weekend per month On-Call Schedule -Install roofing insulation, substrate boards, cover boards, and membrane -Complete various flashing details to ensure a water-tight roofing system -Assisting the production crew with laying out material as needed -Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work site -Demolition and removal of existing roofing material -Conduct material inventory counts as required

What You Bring

-Must be trustworthy and willing to work for periods unsupervised -Learning the basic technical details of various roof systems -Willingness to learn from other technicians & direct supervisors -TPO, PVC, Modified Bitumen -3-Year Motor Vehicle Record meeting standards to drive company vehicles. (If hired as a driver) -Ability to install the following Roofing Systems; -Fully Adhered, Mechanically Attached, Rhinobond, etc -Minimum 3 Years in the roofing industry working in a production or service environment -Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen & -BASIC COMPUTER LITERACY REQUIRED -Previous experience with a Mobile Clock In / Clock Out System -Previous experience installing Metal Accessories -Be prepared to discuss jobs worked on, systems installed, & your role in the process -Clear a National, State, and Local Background Check -Pass the 90-day introductory period -Gutters, Downspouts, Fascia, Coping, Drip Edge, etc -Excellent communicator, both oral and written- Customer Service skill set -Ability to operate mobile technology systems & programs -Consistent & Reliable Timeliness & Attendance
