The Role

Overview

Design and support instrumentation/control systems for water/wastewater projects.

Tasks

-Support of equipment and control system commissioning, start-up, and performance testing, and -Review and evaluation of mechanical specifications with controlscontent. -Review and evaluation of process flow diagrams and design criteria; and -Development of technical specifications, instrument datasheets, and detailed control strategies / narratives, and -Assisting marketing team with project pursuit strategies, -Coordination of I&C deliverables with the process, mechanical, and electrical disciplines. -Supporting multi-disciplinary teams with engineering design projects and studies, -Preparing studies, conceptual reports, and technical memorandums, -Assist with system troubleshooting. -Review of Contractor and Supplier submittals, and -Senior review and evaluation of - Electrical schematic diagrams and plans. -Developing preliminary scope definitions, budgets, and staffing plans, -Field review and evaluation of existing equipment, control systems (hardware and software) and control panels, -Developing construction documents (drawings, specifications, and schedules). Drawings for construction include: - Database driven Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's), -Participate in construction site inspections, -Conducting I&C engineering and analyses related to various water, wastewater, and industrial waste treatment facilities,

What You Bring

-Possess strong oral and written communication skills -CCTV and Access Control System drawings, Point-to-Point Wiring Diagrams, and -Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously. -Serving as I&C discipline subject matter expert. -Detailed network communication architecture diagrams, -Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering is required; 15 years of experience in instrumentation and controls. -Possess Professional Engineering registration (P.Eng.) or the ability to obtain within 18 months of hire date is required. -Ability to mentor junior to intermediate staff and work with remotely located project team members. -ability to convey project I&C needs to the project managers and clients, and to formulate those needs into comprehensive plans and specifications. -Possess solid interpersonal skills for working in a team environment (virtual or in-person).

-Locations Outside of Lower Mainland - BC - Min Salary $ 128,600.00 - Max Salary $ 192,900.00 -Locations in Lower Mainland - BC - Min Salary $ 136,300.00 - Max Salary $ 204,500.00
