  • Evaluation and completion of complex and demanding customer specifications, customer questionnaires, deviations.
  • Ensure the electrical package adheres to all safety regulations, quality standards, and client specifications.
  • Responsible for the design review process and documentation submission, and independent preparation of relevant technical specifications and inquiry documentation.
  • Coordination activities with other teams (I&C, mechanical and civil)
  • Provide technical support to sales / bid team for pre-bid engineering in the area of his expertise.
  • Responsible for design activities of electrical packages including MV, LV Switchgear, AC UPS, DC UPS, Batteries, Rectifiers, Inverters, DC-DC Converters, Diesel Generator, HV and LV transformers, MV and LV motors, MV VFD’s, Generator circuit breaker, protection, grid interfaces etc.
  • Prepare cable schedule, cable tray, cable terminations, MCT, Earthing, lighting, lightning layouts and MTO.
  • Coordinate with vendors, evaluation of vendor documents, attending FAT, coordination with site team for Electrical Packages.
  • Coordinate EPC contract scope for Electrical Packages.
  • Participation in engineering and optimization of interfaces for Electrical Package Equipment.
  • Act as technical authority with respect to MV and LV electrical equipment including variable frequency drives and electric motors with responsibilities for final equipment selection in project execution phase.
  • Prepare substation layouts, technical documentation, specifications, and data sheets for electrical equipment.
  • Lead all aspects of technical alignment with customers and suppliers ensuring adequacy of selected equipment.
  • Closely collaborate with project managers, ensuring that potential project execution risks and opportunities are collected in a timely matter.

  • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills, and ability to ensure a high-quality work process.
  • Basic understanding of other design subject areas such as I&C, Mechanical, and Civil engineering to ensure alignment of project interfaces.
  • Knowledge on relay logic diagram of different manufacturers such as Siemens, ABB, Schneider etc. will be advantageous.
  • Proven experience of at least 5+ years within electrical design of package equipment (low / medium / high voltage equipment and systems) including VFDs and Motors, GIS.
  • Practical knowledge of software like Eplan, AutoCAD, ETAP will be an added advantage.
  • Deep understanding of project business, including customer approaches in typical Energy/Power, Oil & Gas / Petrochemical applications.
  • Detailed knowledge of products such as, MV, LV Switchgear, AC UPS, DC UPS, Batteries, Rectifiers, Inverters, DC-DC Converters, Diesel Generator, HV and LV transformers, MV and LV motors, MV VFD’s, Generator circuit breaker, protection, grid interfaces etc.
  • Adaptable, open minded and flexible approach to a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent spoken and written English language skills and willingness to travel outside India across the Siemens Energy TI EAD for executing projects.
  • Knowledge of LV and MV Switchgear protections. High voltage protection knowledge will be advantageous.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering as a minimum; master’s degree in electrical engineering is advantageous.
