Tasks

-Coordinate with team members from different design and construction disciplines to incorporate necessary input for each permit in a timely manner. This shall include but not limited to meetings with the Designers and the Designer Builder’s Technical Department Discipline Managers. -Prepare various senior management permitting updates as required. -Document and report progress on PLAA’s and document submissions and updating project leads with updates. -Ensure you and your family receive the services needed to support your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. -Update Design manager every week on progress of each permit application. Also, to advise of critical issues that can hold up permit approvals. -Coordinate with the design team on design packages for PLAA’s and document submissions to different stakeholders. -Liaising with Metrolinx, City of Toronto, and other key internal and external stakeholders. -Coordinate the use of the tracking system to track the progress of PLAA’s throughout the project. -Coordinate the internal PLAA working group meetings, including minute-taking and issuing of invitations. -Writing monthly reports and spreadsheets pertaining to PLAA’s processes, progress, and updates. -Track document submittals, alerting team members of risks related to reports and plans due dates required by the Contracting Authority and coordinating a Non- Conformance Report with team members on extensions needed on plans and reports. -Maintaining a PLAA register to give the project team an oversight on upcoming and expected permits. -Maintain permitting tracker to track comments, responses, submissions, resubmissions of all permit applications. -Work with document control to keep track of project reports and plan submittals.

What You Bring

-Acquainted with project management processes and techniques. -Knowledge of relevant legislation, procedures, and permit requirements, including the Ontario Water Resources Act, Building Code Act, Planning Act, Metrolinx Act, Municipal Act, railway corridor infrastructure and related construction projects. -3+ years of experience with permitting, licensing and approvals. -Knowledge of PLA processes of the construction of major infrastructure projects in the GTA particularly with the City of Toronto. -Knowledge of and experience acquiring permits, licenses and approval requirements for major infrastructure and related construction projects, preferably in the Province of Ontario. -Bachelor or advanced degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Urban Planning, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Architecture or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent. -Project Management Certificate preferred. -Ability to liaise with other specialty consultants, contractors and Governmental Authorities.
