The Role
Overview
Oversee financial operations for subsidiaries, handling accounting, AP, reporting, and audits.

Tasks
-Coordinate and support both internal and external audits, addressing any findings and implementing improvements. -Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. -Record financial transactions via journal entries. -Maintain detailed reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts monthly. -Evaluate all accounts payable balances and resolve all issues regarding unpaid invoices. -Collaborate with AP team members to ensure accuracy in invoice posting to general ledger. -Develop SOPs for new processes or update current SOPs for changes as needed. -Assist with weekly department updates. -Assist company/organization in establishing and maintaining internal controls and accounting best practices. -Submit check runs, ACH transactions and wire transfers for weekly review/approval. -Manage cash flow to ensure funds are available for operations and capital improvements. -Record daily cash activity and complete daily bank reconciliations. -Work to improve processes within assigned accounting functions. -Support the management and mentorship of staff and/or senior accountants. -Assist in preparation of weekly cash flow reports. -Assist in performing variance analyses and P/L reporting.

What You Bring
-Strong attention to detail, goal oriented and continuously exploring ways to improve efficiencies. -Minimum of 4+ years of accounting experience. -Highly organized with the ability to multi-task. -Experience with financial systems software required, RealPage preferred. -Experience in multi-entity, intercompany transactional environment -Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and third parties. -Strong, concise written and oral communication skills necessary; strong analytical skills; must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, multi-task and work independently. -Comfortable in an entrepreneurial, fast paced and quickly changing environment. -Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required. -Proficient in Word and Excel.
