The Role

Overview

Perform responsive repairs (flooring, carpentry, plumbing) in occupied homes.

Tasks

-Undertake minor carpentry and plumbing tasks when required to support site works -Weld seams and finish edges to achieve a hygienic, watertight seal (equipment will be provided) -Always ensure compliance with health and safety standards -Install skirting and upstands to create smooth transitions between floor and wall surfaces -Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and deliver high‑quality results -Accurately measure, cut, and fit vinyl flooring to cap and cove standards -Prepare subfloors, ensuring surfaces are clean, level, and ready for installation -Carry out repairs and maintenance on existing cap and cove installations -Carry out day-to-day responsive repairs across occupied properties -Undertake minor carpentry tasks such as fitting skirting boards, repairing door frames, or assembling fixtures -Carry out basic plumbing tasks including installing or repairing taps, fixing leaks, and connecting appliances

What You Bring

-Excellent customer service skills, with experience working in occupied homes -Full UK driving licence -Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills -Willingness to participate in out-of-hours emergency rota -Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively -Proven experience in floor laying, particularly cap and cove -Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices -Ability to use handheld devices or job management systems to record work
