Tasks

-Coordinate and check the work of engineers and designers -Prepare MTOs of structures -The managing/learning of current working methods and software applications -Direct Engineering team as a Lead Engineer on small projects -Fill engineering work -The provision of assistance to other colleagues with heavy workloads (also other projects) when possible/desirable -Apply knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and nonstandard situations -Perform design verification through single discipline check and assist with inter-discipline checks (IDC) -Check designs for operational requirements, constructability, and maintainability -Prepare structural analyses and reports on calculations or perform specialist tasks (i.e. architectural designs, underground piping designs, complex structures, topsides, jackets, weight control reports, center of gravity reports) -Provide engineering support as required -Prepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses including design reports and procedures -Trains /mentors Engineers -Assist Project Manager in: -Prepare technical bid evaluations -Perform conceptual, FEED, Studies, and detailed analyses and design as per design basis, project specifications, design codes, and standards -Preparing progress reports -Perform independent computer analyses of structures -Work as Lead Engineer on small projects or act as area lead or deputy lead -Perform engineering checks prepared by others within the discipline -Review of vendor data -Work in close liaison with the Design Coordinator, area leads, etc. -Prepare project engineering guides -Preparing man-hour and capital expenditure estimates -Preparing schedule -Perform engineering checks of drafting -Prepare specifications -Assists MOPEX offices on projects -Coordinate with project management -Give relevant feedback to the department -Preparing deliverable control -Prepare subcontract documents -Control and manage work hours, materials, progress -Manage own time to meet agreed deadlines and budgets and develop plans for short-term work activities in own area -Responsible for all engineering and design work on small-size projects -Initiates interface with other disciplines to obtain input for discipline designs -Prepare details and layouts of structures

What You Bring

-Good knowledge of engineering software -Good technical structural knowledge -Strong working knowledge of many design techniques and analysis methods, and detailed knowledge of the content and application of standards codes and guidelines as applicable -Is specialized in some design codes (EC, ACI/AISC/API, GOST, etc.) -Seasoned knowledge of engineering standards and specifications -Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Engineering -Good working knowledge of English, both oral and written -Preferably Registered Professional Engineer or member of professional engineering society as applicable -Is specialized in several fields (geotechnical, steel, concrete, dynamic calculations, FEM, fatigue calculations, earthquake, jackets, FPSOs, blast, hydrodynamics, architectural, etc.) -Able to work independently -Good organizer, motivator, and supervisor -Has a good understanding of the other engineering departments -Clearly communicate and explain complex issues and work to establish understanding -8-15 years of experience in oil and gas with a major contractor or consultant predominantly performing detail design -HSE, TQM, and cost-conscious
