Tasks

-Support Engineering Services field personnel in technical resolution of field problems. -Provide technical support to software engineers in meeting customer needs on HMI applications. -Handle multiple projects / activities. -Be accountable for on-time schedule performance, project milestones, customer deliverables, and compliance with regulations and standards. -Review and interpret customer specifications. -Provide system design engineering as required to facilitate the ordering, engineering, installation (construction) design and commissioning of GE and third-party control systems and industrial networks. -Perform hardware selection of system control components for HMI solutions. -Provide assistance with quality assurance on projects. -Design, implement and support communication networks for control system applications.

What You Bring

-Proven team player with solid cooperation, flexibility and demonstrated capacity to learn complex information quickly. -Demonstrated interest in or experience working in the industrial controls or power generation industry. -Field experience in related equipment -Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen. -Background in HMI application software including Proficy Cimplicity and Historian based products. -Hands-on experience programming GE Mark VI turbine control and Cimplicity HMI software -Working knowledge of Visio -Technical skills in engineering design and construction practices -Strong computer skills: experience setting up Windows based applications including Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 7, Windows 10, Server 2012 and proficiency in standard MS Office applications. -Travel both domestically and internationally approximately 10% of the time, as required. -Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or Engineering from an accredited university or college -Demonstrated aptitude for and interest in or experience working with industrial network communication protocols such as OPC, Modbus, TCP/IP, ProfiBus. -Ability and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally approximately 10% of the time.
