Overview

Maintain and repair rolling stock, conduct diagnostics, and drive improvements.

Tasks

-Carry out download diagnosis and fault-finding, progressing to an advanced level fault-finder. -Undertake routine maintenance and repair of the allocated rolling stock to meet the requirements of the production plan -Depot driving - Movement of allocated rolling stock within the depot limits. -Actively participate in our Continuous Improvement programme and drive implementation of your own improvement ideas. -Read and interpret electrical schematic and software logic diagrams, documenting all relevant technical information on the maintenance management system. -Produce analytical technical reports on fault investigation -Implement safe systems and controls within your area of responsibility. -Identify, order and collect spares and materials from stores

What You Bring

-Good knowledge and understanding for cares of tools, equipment and PPE as appropriate -Knowledge of Health & Safety including bio-hazards, manual handling and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) -Flexibility to accommodate shifts patterns is required -Experience in a mechanical/electrical engineering environment -Experience in documenting actions and operations accurately and to procedures -Ability to use a laptop for diagnostic, fault-finding and rectification purposes -Ability to understand and interpret relevant technical publications -Rolling stock experience preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
