Civil Engineer in Training

Assist in civil engineering design, construction observation, and admin for water/municipal projects.

Tasks

-Perform construction observation and administration on water and municipal related projects -Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight. -Assist in preparation of technical reports -Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist. -Assist Project Managers in design and construction of private development site design, site grading, city streets, city water and sewer infrastructure, and municipal facilities -May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear. -Assist professional surveyors with field work on crews performing data gathering for designs or construction staking -Assist Project Manager with the development and preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates

What You Bring

-AutoCAD Civil 3D experience -Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. -Strong written and oral communication skills -Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. -Fundamentals in Engineering certified -May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town. -Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field -May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds. -Ability to travel as required -All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulation -Occasional travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town -2+ years' experience working on civil engineering related projects -Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain.
