The Role

Overview

Manage refurbishment of prison building from design to construction.

Tasks

-Effectively coordinates and communicates with all project parties/stakeholders, ensuring completion of responsibilities/tasks and ensures suitable standards and records are recorded and maintained. -Determining project management, technical services and external resources required for project/s. -Preparing and modifies where necessary project plans and keeps them updated and relevant over the course of the project/s. -Collaborating with relevant parties/stakeholders and ensures robust quality systems are in place and suitably managed and monitored. -Overseeing project timeframes and project budgets and ensures budgets are managed diligently and highlights any risks, challenges and mitigations. -Partnering with relevant stakeholders and is actively involved in risk management. -Managing relevant meetings, providing relevant parties with contextual information and analysis where required and site walks and ensures these are suitably recorded. -Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work. -Documenting and takes ownership of project changes as and when necessary, tracking project changes. -Monitoring and actively engages in health, safety and wellbeing aspects of the project at all stages. -Delivering project objectives in line with the project execution plan, leads and supervises the project team/s and relevant stakeholders to achieve strategic project key performance indicators (KPIs). -Proactively manage internal budgets and fees, delivering agreed outcomes.

What You Bring

-Tertiary qualifications in related (project management and/or construction related discipline), non-related degree or equivalent professional experience/apprenticeship, combined with a demonstrable intermediate level of role knowledge. -Advanced proficiency in communicating, coordinating activities and collaborating with stakeholders. -Display strong communication and negotiation skills to support the client/customer focus. -MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS (or working towards) or local equivalent. -Previous work experience in project management (or equivalent). -Appropriate construction skills certification scheme (CSCS) card or equivalent. -Developed communication, presentation and project planning and development skills. -Developed budgetary oversight expertise. -Proven experience in project management, managing small to medium sized projects. -Proven understanding of project management methodologies and practices.
