Tasks

-Process Management: Maintain organized bid records, cost histories, and performance data for future estimating reference. -Collaboration: Partner closely with project managers, field teams, and company leadership to ensure smooth handoff and project alignment. -Estimating & Takeoffs: Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment on commercial roofing projects (TPO, Mod-Bit, EPDM, coatings, BUR, etc.). -Bid Preparation: Develop complete, accurate, and competitive bids, proposals, and scopes of work. -Technical Analysis: Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts for technical accuracy and constructability. -Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination: Obtain, review, and analyze vendor and subcontractor pricing. -Collaborate directly with leadership and production teams to drive project success from bid to build. -Work on a wide range of complex and technical roofing projects—reroofs, new construction, and specialty systems.

Tiello has partnered with a leading Commercial Roofing Contractor in the West Palm, FL area that is seeking an experienced Technical Estimator to join their growing team. This individual will play a key role in accurately preparing detailed estimates and proposals for commercial reroof and new construction projects, ensuring precision, compliance, and profitability across all bids. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. -Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). -Client Interaction: Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, architects, and GCs to clarify scopes and resolve discrepancies. -Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. -Strong Backlog: Steady pipeline of reroof and new construction work throughout South Florida. -5+ years of experience in commercial roofing estimating (reroof and new construction). -Proficiency in The EDGE or similar estimating software (preferred). -In-depth knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, Mod-Bit, BUR, coatings, etc.). -Strong technical acumen and ability to interpret detailed drawings, specifications, and scope documents.
